Bypassing a catalytic converter
Hey guys I have a 2012 f10 535i xdrive with a Catless downpipe.
Does anyone know if the Mini cat CEL fix adapters work? Or does anyone know what to do to pass ny state inspection without reinstalling your Cat? |

The mini cats don't work I had it installed and my check engine still came on. I just installed bm3 and just removed the o2 off the cats so far no check engine light.

Does your state do emissions from the obd2 port or through the tail pipe? When I lived in northern va they ran emissions and they would scan the obd2 port. I live in a state where they don't have emissions but I'm running a catless dp and bm3 so no cel when I had a jb4 cel would pop up after a few miles of driving even with the mini cats. I'm pretty sure if you don't have a cel when they scan it you should be fine with emissions but ever state is different.

Yeah that doesn't work. Mini cats don't work and even with the jb4 when the code is reset the "emmisions system" has to reset. If you go to pass the inspection it will show emmisions system not ready and fail

Spaces the sensor away from the exhaust flow in hopes that it doesn't measure as much harmful stuff. It's really a crap shoot whether or not it works and doesn't help if you have visual inspection or a sniffer test. |
