Exclamation TRONIK - BMW f10 to ///M5 upgrade BIG ISSUE! (((brake rotors warped )))

Hello fellow members, I got a few questions? Since, I did the big brake upgrade from none M to ///M5 brake, I've run into a few issues. I purchase the bracket kit from Tronik in Russia, his kits look pretty legit and come with everything need to complete the installation. I paid about $800 shipped, the kit come with everything you need to install for the front & rear rotors and caliper, also come with steel line to upgrade from stock brake line. I installed a set of M5 front and rear rotors & calipers that i've purchase from a wreck service shop. The guy states that the rotors and calipers came off from a wreck m5 with 29miles on it. So I figure the rotors and brake pads is good for another 20-30miles. When I got the rotor, caliper and pads they're all look to be in good shape, just like what he describe. The Brake pads still thick but the rotors were slightly used up, but overall it still look decent and probably it's good for another 30K at lease. After the installation, I double check all my installation and make sure everything fit in perfect. I Did a couple test run and the breaking improves dramatically from f10 550i stock brake. However, it didn't last as long as I've thought. My rear was fine, but my front rotors starting to warped un to a point that the steering wheel shake pretty bad when I hit the brake. I would said less than 8k when it started to warped, so i'm thinking at this point i need to replace the rotors since they're used, and they're aren't cheap. at $747.00 from getbmwparts.com for the set. So, I though maybe I could do alternative route and take them to the local brake shop to have them resurface the rotors. Well, they told me that the rotors warped pretty bad, but I gotta do it since it already out of the car and it only cost me $75. After machinery, I installed them back and it ran smooth, just like when i first install them. Well, guess what? that didn't last long, it started to warped like a thousand miles or so after.... So now I just installed a set of brand new oem M5 rotors, cost me like $800 for the pairs.
** Now I'm started to think it's because of the bracket didn't line up properly with the rotor? or could it be the brake pads? If this rotor gonna last me less then 10k than shit i'm in for another set of new rotors or yang the whole kit out and install my stock 550i brake rotor and caliper back. what do you guy think what could be wrong?

I just finish installing the new rotors today, haven't drive it yet. let just hope it will last me longer than the old rotors.

Hey Spyroz haven't seen you in awhile! I read about half way through your post and the first thing that hit my mind was the brackets. I had a similar problem back in the day when I upgraded my Honda Accord's OEM brakes to at the time AEM's Big Brake kit. after the install the brackets that came with the kit just looked suspect. even tho it was made pretty solid even the shop who installed them for me questioned the design of the brackets. long story short the rotors warped on both sides in less than 1,000 miles. so i'm wondering if those custom brackets from Russia are the culprit? I remember reaching out to them a few years back when I was inquiring but decided the price was just too much. sorry to hear your issues and the money you're losing in all this with the replacements. hopefully some brake experts can chime in.

nah, 100% stock is the key for value...a shell can cost anywhere from $7 - 10k that's if you can find one, kinda hard since everyone is looking for one.... that's why people starting to import RHD from japan, but only thing is getting them register is a pain process.

Had a 93 FD3S myself. Silver over red. I always liked the JDM 99 front bumper and tailwing.

Quick UPDATE on NEW Rotors + old pads ( should I replace the pads?) picture show both outer wear when breaking apply (about 5 miles)

Gotta break those in more. Only the edges of the brake pads are touching the rotors. Did you do 10 - 20 high speed/hard braking bedding stops? Give them about 200 miles of driving and see what they look like...

Also what diameter and thickness are the front rotors? I am thinking of doing the euro 550i rotors/pads on my 550i as they are 374mm x 36mm and whole upgrade would only be about $600-$700 using ATE two piece rotors. The brembo kit lists 380 x 30mm rotors with 6 piston calipers for $4k which I just can't justify...

Are there any 4 piston calipers that would fit 550i?

I would have replaced that pads as i'm sure it didn't wear correctly with the looks on the old warped rotors

nah, you can find a complete set for around $1,800 - $2,200 front and rear + used rotors. ((( but don't buy the kit from TRONIK, I think the bracket is NOT symmetrically align with the hub. There's more people who bought his kit now got issue after 5k, rotors warped and shaking like shit! TRONIK respond to my email once then disappear!

Could be sticking? But I would think 6 piston or even 4 piston would press against the rotor evenly even say 1 wasn't? Just looks like the pad isn't making full contact on the rotor by the looks of the wear. But than again the rotor is warped.

NO NO..I just installed brand New rotors that I've purchase for $900, well I did some more driving and it did break in a little bit, so far you can still a little jerking when you apply the brake in slowly...

What is all of the brownish crap on the new rotors? Is that rust? Or didn't you clean off the preservative with brake cleaner before installing them? (that's kind of what it looks like to me.)
