JB4 help please!
So, apparently with the jb4 on my 2011 535i pwg harness a, i need to enable the steering wheel controls. Installed the newest windows software, connect thru usb>obd2 retrofit cable, etc, shows im connected to the device. I followed the instructions, well kinda, but i only see "Future Use A" with no bit options and no "Future Use D" whatsoever to change to value "2" as stated. This i found under User Adjustment tab. Could someone tell me what im doing wrong please? Thanks in advance.
Ok 24 hours later and not a single person has commented, I see this will be fun trying to get help with fml. Basically I have purchased an expensive paperweight as of now. I can't believe nobody else has this issue? There is definitely communication between my laptop and the jb4, but it won't log, so I can't even provide that for troubleshooting. The weirdest thing to me is the lack of "Future Use D" in the user-defined tab I tried reinstalling the software checked all the connectors and I'm still not sure if it's doing anything besides wasting my time. So any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Last edited by RazorzEdge; 09-06-2019 at 10:59 PM.. Reason: Update |

sup bro, I had the same issue, here's what you need to do "Also note that by default the F10/535 BC button will not work to change maps until connecting via laptop or phone interface and changing FutureUseD=2. The tune comes preset to map1."
https://www.n54tech.com/instructions/jb4_f_series.pdf you need to change the FutureUseD to 2 and save it, then your button on the left side of your signal light switch will work.

He can, he just have to change the settings on the JB4. I was able to "access" it following the instructions, I can change the maps using the button on the signal lamp switch
