Comfort access bad on one door.

My driver's door lock actuator failed with a short circuit. My indy replaced the actuator and all door locks eventually settled down. I now have comfort access lock/unlock/window close from every door except the driver's door.

Does this mean I need to replace the driver's door handle or is it more complicated.

Thanks for your thoughts.

If someone was in there changing parts recently I'd consider the possibility of a wiring issue. Perhaps there's a broken wire or a connector not plugged in?

I'd ask your Indy what they think could be the issue.

He has been all over thing at no charge on multiple occasions. I think he would have spotted a bad wire.

Well just speaking from my own experience recently, if your battery is low all kinds of wacky stuff happens with comfort access. My comfort was all jacked up and I charged my aging battery and all is well. Went and got a new battery to throw in as well.

Throw a charger on the battery overnight and see if that fixes it.

My wires were TIGHT on all handles but it's very easy to pop them out and unplug. Mine were heat shrink up to the connector so not sure you would see an issue.

If battery charger doesn't help you can check fuses - which is a huge pain in the romp. If fuses are good then I would say it's probably the handle.

Might be able to get one on eBay if your car is a popular color. Otherwise new and pay someone to paint.

Battery was new a year ago, this is not the problem on my car. Thanks for the input though.

Agree.

I just wanted to see if there was any else we had overlooked. My indy said when he tested the lock actuator it would blow a 10 amp fuse, so I am not surprised that something downstream got fried.
