Rough idle/Shaking rpm - BMW F10 535D 14'
Hello guys ! So, I decided to ask you because I didn't find nobody here in Romania to help me with my problem. I have a BMW F10 535xD 2014. The car has 170.000 Km. Since the last 4-5 months the car has shaking rpms at idle, doesn't matter if it is in P/D/N/R. The rpms always are going down not up, it's dropping 50 rpms maximum. Also, the engine when the rpms are shaking makes some vibrations and movements into the car, I feel them in chairs, doors, steering wheel. When I start the car when outside its cold, and after I start to run on the road, if I press very slow the gas pedal, car jerks, has hesitations, but when the car gets hotter the jerks dissappear 90%. I changed the manifold, egr valve, and now I had an error - O2 Sensor before Catalytic converter, that I also changed. The rough idle its much more better now but its still there.. Can you guys have an idea for what can I look for , because I can't find any solution for this problem and it's very annoying ! Injectors are tested and all are in good condition, and no other errors present on the car. Thank you so much ! |

I have the same car but have not had this problem yet, but had it nearly the same with a VW Passat TDI. It was both a motor mount and a transmission mount gone bad. Diesels have to be more susceptible to this, they vibrate more. I would inspect them next. Replacing them took care of the shakes.

Hi DeNu,
Had a bit of the same issue with my previous BMW. (E60 525d) In my case one of the injectors was faulty...... (220dkm) Fault code was in my OBD reader. How did you test the injectors? |

Besides the potential issues other have mentioned. You probably have a lot of carbon build up in your intake and valves. This could also be the cause. You should definitely scan for codes.

RESOLVED !
Hello guys !
Thank you a lot for your help ! Finally I resolved the problem changing this filtered air pipe with this OEM code 13718508171. It has been broken and the car always loose air from that holes and when I press the gas pedal the car sucks false air from that holes. In Romania it was about a 250$ fix ! |
