I seen a post somewhere about godspeed springs they said they were good. Have to do some searching he dailys them.

I saw these as well however it said RWD I asked the sales rep and they verified it will be compatible with xdrive. asked what the difference was didn't know. hopefully will get them put on in the next few weeks.

Ssa 22g, also curious about these. Have asked two other people who have them and have heard good things. You'll have to update us on how it goes. I've had second thoughts because I heard it can make your shocks go out quicker but coilovers are also much more expensive so I'm still sitting on it

Rofl what I wouldn't be happy with that kind of answer. Just go for another one designed for x drive - all other springs I've seen have been specifically designed for rwd or x drive since suspension dynamics are expected to differ.

I just finished installing a set of godspeed springs. Drop looks good and ride quality isn't bad. Car is a 535i xdrive. Ill take some pics after they settle.

Thanks for the info hopefully you can get some pictures uploaded soon, would love to see it! Is the alignment alright or is that something you have to get done again in the process as well?

I’m definitely thinking about this springs as well for my 535 xdrive yes take some before and after and let use know about the ride as well, thanks for the info

I can't speak to XDrive but for those of us RWD these springs are killer. Replace the struts when you do it though, I blew a strut within a month so now I'm replacing them all like I should have initially but didn't feel like waiting for the parts.

I have a 550 but they were just as easy as any other spring to install, took me 2 hours or so but I also did brakes and rotors. Mine settled pretty good, I'll have to find my measurements but I had 1.9" drop in the front and 1.5" in the back.

I'm sure they aren't going to last as long as other brands but for the past 8 months they have been great for me. I'll find some before and after a tomorrow and post. I recommend.

Hahaha, killer in a way of good. I got a pretty aggressive look out of it. Turbos just arrived so hope to have my car back early next week, after I swap my bumpers out I'll take some new pics and post them up.

Pre drop photo. Sorry for multiple posts, the app keeps closing on me when I try to add more than 1 photo and I've restarted it a few times. If you want more, just DM me and I'll send a bunch. But I would give them an 8 out of 10 just because I'm not sure of their longevity but they could easily be a high 9 if they last.

Post drop photo. My turbos are being installed now, so I should have my car back early next week. When I get it back I'll swap my bumpers to the M covers and retake some pics and share.

If you are on a budget or don't care for coilovers, I recommend these. If you are on the fence, go with coilovers. I'm happy with them but if I did it again I would go the coilover route because I want to be able to adjust ride height depending on season.

Well my mechanic couldn't do it referred me to another garage. He said it's due to the control arm adjustment?!?! since it's a xi ?

let's see what this speed shop says' (GEARONE in Exton, PA) waiting on a quote.
What should a shop be charging for something like this?

recommended a alignment as well.

I would assume 4 hours, 1 per wheel??? I painted my wheels, swapped out my rotors and pads, painted calipers while swapping out my springs, I took 6 hours. My suggestion, rent the tools from your local auto parts store and do it yourself. Save a grip of money for another mod and it's super easy!!

Hi, just wanted to post some info.

Limited info from my research; figured the more out there, the better.

The Car: 2014 535d xDrive f10
GodSpeed Kit : https://godspeedproject.com/bmw-5-se...coilovers.html

I have 19" wheels with 255/40 rubber, so bigger than stock.

Alignment definitely recommended after ANY suspension work.
I've set my rear camber to -1.2deg.
Front is fixed, and with my setup is sitting at -0.2deg.

Ride height is 643mm in the front
Ride height is 632mm in the rear

Stock lowered "low-slung" for the xDrive is 632/618 stock
Stock regular for the xDrive is 641/627 stock

These can be changed to whatever you wish. Mine is higher to clear the snow banks

Note, that I've had mine down to 610 and turn to turn lock with no rubbing while driving. It's a well designed suspension.
(long story short, mine shipped with incorrect shock tubes for the front.

The job can be very time consuming; Install, setup and adjusting, I'd say took me about 8 hours total. That's after having to redo the front shocks completely. ( xDrive is more work to get the OEM fronts out due to the half-shafts )

Also to note, the springs do settle after about a week, so I did re-adjust the height, and got another alignment. Perhaps overkill.

I don't have a lift, so a bit frustrating for sure, but worth it when it's all done.
If i knew what to set the the coilover height too, I'd saved myself hours.

The nice thing about coilovers, beside being able to adjust the tension on the spring, and the height of your car to whatever you like, is you don't need spring compressors to dis-assemble the entire strut assembly.

I imagine installing just lowering springs would take less time overall, but you can't fine tune your ride height easily; you'd have to shim.

All the being said...

I love the way these coil-overs perform. The overall ride feel is great...
The car handles amazing on these springs. It actually inspires confidence in the corners vs the OEM setup.

It is more bouncy, that's for sure, but I would never go back to stock.
My rebound is set two clicks past the softest setting for all four shocks.
I might play with that more as they settle in.

You can see from the pictures above; i was shipped the short shock by mistake, the car was almost two inches lower than stock, when maxxed out on the height adjustment.

Info: shock body specs are...
240mm body / 97mm travel (for the short shock)
270mm body / 117 travel (for the longer shock)

Factory says 30mm minimum thread engagement on the rear, about 40-50mm for the front.

They ship a shorter sway bar link with the kit as well, that is about 40mm less in length

The comparison between the OEM and Godspeed is there to see (mind the fact that the height was not set on the coilovers yet)

With the correct length shocks installed, the car sits perfect, (it can be adjusted as needed) and it rides very comfortably on smooth roads.
There is more road noise transferred to the car when going over bumpy roads, but compared to my e46 and e36 lowering spring setup, by far the best compromise.
