Hello! i have a 2012 bmw 550i. i think i have the Hi-Fi system but i dont know exactly how to tell. can anyone help me? i ask this because in 3 weeks i am having the entire OEM system gutted and about 10K in aftermarket put in. all Focal K2P mids and highs, Alpine type R 12'' in a ported box, Alpine HD 4ch and a Audison Bit One DSP. all Oscoped, eq, time alignment, and tuned. the real question is, how much can i sell my OEM system for? can anyone help me? thank you!!

If it's the stock HiFi system I would imagine not much. I assume you're keeping the iDrive head unit.

If you have tweeters or small speaker grills on the front two doors near to where the mirrors mount then you have the HI-FI system, if there are no tweeters there then you have the basic 6 speaker system which comes stock.

If you do have the HI-FI system then chances are you wont really make much money from selling them mabye £200 [$250] not including the amp.

yes i am keeping the idrive etc. thats what the DSP is for. so i can integrate all the new amps etc and still oscope and EQ everything by computer for perfect sound. or near perfect. the Bit One from Audison is truly amazing.

From what I understand, probably not much in the USA. I believe all USA F10's have the Hi-Fi as the "base" system. Your best bet is someone wanting to replace a blown speaker.

Bavsound? ohh nooo...im going way way up from there my man. all Focal K2p ($800/pair) Audison Bit One DSP, alpine HD 600W 4ch amp, JL audio 1000/1 mono for the Alpine type R 12's. all oscoped and tuned for EQ and positioning or any irregularities due to the car shape/environment. its gonna be sick.
