Finally a proud owner of a fabulous MY2013 535d Touring
The moment I was looking for for so many months happened yesterday, when I got delivered a perfect 535d Touring M-Package Sophisto Gray II at BMW Welt.
The car spec and ordering details can be checked in this thread, but here's a brief rundown of the main options: - M Sports Package with 19" 351M wheels - Sophisto Gray II with Hexagon Aluminum trims, Shadow Line roof bars and Black Shadow Line exterior trims - Comfort seats, black dakota leather, black anthracite roof lining - Comfort package - Innovation package - Surround View - Panoramic sunroof - Adaptive Drive - Sports automatic gearbox - TPMS - Pro Navigation (new version) - Multifunctional instrument display - HiFi Professional - Tinted windows (aft B-pillar) After having the car, I drove home for about 400 km and since I don't want to exceed the recommended break-in limits (3,000 rpm and/or 150 km/h) the max speed I achieved was 200 km/h. The car is rock steady and a joy to ride. I have absolutely no remarks whatsoever to make at this point! Here are a few mementos from the day. I am sorry if I don't have many pictures of the car, but I was by myself and wanted to have my hands on the car, not on the phone! I promise to add a few more shots in the future. I find the different displays for the Sport/Comfort/Eco Pro to contribute a lot to the driving experience, and the magnifying option for the numbers in the velocimeter and the tachymeter that the needles are pointing towards is a nice feature too. |

Thanks to everyone for the kind words! I will try to take a few pictures today in the sunset to try and make justice to the beauty of the car/color.
I see no reason why it shouldn't, considering that it is 100% digital. I will see today if you can configure the velocimeter units to mph via the iDrive settings and will let you know the results. |

And here are a few more to add to yesterday's photos. I had to take these with the iPhone as I don't have my SLR camera with me. I will be adding more photos to the Sophisto Gray topic in the photos/media section in the future but since the car is still only two days "old" I am adding these here.
My girlfriend says it is "stupidly beautiful". And damn, isn't she right! It is a beauty, it drives beautifully!! Couldn't be happier. |

Speed in km/h: Speed in mph: You can change it in "Settings". Overall I am VERY happy with the MFID!! |

Thanks, remmib!
It is awesome and I have barely started to experience it. Compared to the F11's ride, my previous E60 530d felt like a fisherman's boat. And without having yet used up one full tank, I am already impressed with how economical it is… |

First, a big congrstulation. I will also get an M-Sport next time. Did you ever consider a 535i? I am allready planning my new F11 for next summer. But I cant decide between manual 535i or 535d.

Are you sure the max break in speed is 3000 rpm? That sounds way too low. You risk getting a DLPIB ticket (driving like a pussy in a bimmer ) if you continue to limit at 3000 rpm. Please, confirm! |
