Thanks to Alex at MissionPerformance we were finally able to sync our schedules and head over to the dyno. Shots out to ocN55 and apexlocator for being their amazing rides to the party! As we know the F10 N55 is the same amazing block as other chassis, but not in terms of tuning abilities. BMW for some reason decided to give the 535 no love in regards to the ecu and the turbo. During my time with Alex he has discovered several limitations in regards to maf sensors limits, ecu rpm management limits or lack there of and more recently the turbo is not the same as its smaller brother 3 and 435's.

Alex has championed these limitations by reprogramming the ecu to have similar torque management and maf CFM upper limits like its smaller sibling along with a string of other parameters including waste gate settings. This reengineering of the F10 535 ecu has resulted in some impressive results for a stage 1 at 320/420 that is reliable and safe.

Now onto the updates of the stage 2 results. Today Alex has found a way to hold power by way of wastegate control and some other parameters not disclosed here to hold power across the range. On the Dyno chart below you'll see he was able to to produce 344/505! Keep in mind the tune is made for 91, but I was running a DP and 4 gallons of e85. You can see in the Dyno chart that the clutch is slipping. I'm going to be upgrading the clutch to a 550 that can easily hold that and it's OEM. I'm pretty sure Alex would not recommend this on ATs. That said I believe ATs can comfortably hold 450tq and the stock 535 MT clutch can hold 420tq. This is still a work in progress and I will continue to up this page as we move forward. Next move is upgraded map sensors and 550 clutch. Shortly following that is a bigger propeller possibly 62 and relocating the intake.

Well my mind is officially made up and I'm going with a MissionPerformance tune. I was debating other tunes for my Xdrive but am pretty set on this. I just hope the auto xdrives can hold the 344/450 or pretty close to it. Thanks for all the updates throughout the entire process.

Man I'm on this like white on rice.

As soon as my new wheels come and and get on the car I'm going to mail him my DME.

I don't think the stock LS2's would like this very much lol

Do you mean 62mm exducer? Isnt that the stock size?

or are you referring to the inducer wheel being 62mm I think thats a bit bigger than a pure stage 2

or are you talking about the compressor wheel or turbine wheel or both??

Wow those are some insane numbers! Whats your current IAT? On my current stage one tune with some normal driving around town in mid 80's weather, I am getting around 135-140 F.

So, I wonder if there would be any benefits of swapping our turbo for the turbo out of a 335 or a 435? Or if just going straight to the Stage 1 Pure turbo is the better way to go.

There are substantial benefits for a turbo swap from a3 or 435 that will put you up closer to 400hp.

Yes you were correct stock turbine is somewhere around 60 so MP is thinking it's going to be 65-68 depending on available material. Also the compressor wheel will be enlarged and lightened.

elg0rd0yadigg 350/450 is going to be a stage 2 with DP and 93 or e85 blend.

What do you mean by customer intake?

Are you referring to the black plastic piping that goes to the bottom? If so those are the stock intake pipe for the F10 535i.

Ah custom intake... It's stock. We're working on a custom one that comes from the passenger side directly to the inlet.

Yeah. Alex told me about it last time I was there. So it is basically a one piece design as opposed to the stock where it is separated by the small tube for the MAF sensor? BTW are you still running stock Chargepipe or aftermarket with your current power figures?

@Bmw doubles I would def be interested in an intake for our cars. Hopefully they come through on this. Do you know if they plan on doing a stage 1+ tune like Cobb had for just an upgraded fmic if we want to keep our stock dps?

I still have time to think about this so when my car goes into storage over the winter I can send the ECU out but...but seeing that I have to remove the intake manifold or what not has got me discouraged

It is really not that hard, just a bit of pita to remember all the steps and what goes where, fyi there are a few diy guides online for the F10. If you can't do it yourself you could always hire one of those mechanics from yourmechanic.com to do it for you.
