Water pump at 99K miles

Went into limp mode about 10 miles away from home, overheating, what a pain in the but. Looks like the 535s needs the water pump replaced around 90K, mine was at 99K. While I had it apart I did the thermostat, drive belt, tensioner, and pulleys. About 4 hours work and $550 from FCPEuro.

Mine recently went out, 114k miles, luckily I was right outside my neighborhood. Limped home watching the temp. Dealership charged $1,200 to replace the water pump ONLY. (I paid $225 out of pocket due to a 3rd party warranty I have).

Yeah that is about right. My water pump went around 97k and engine overheat light came on. My mechanic told me he haven't seen any f10 5 series come in for thermostat change so we only did water pump.

I had it apart so I did the thermostat, maybe as hard as the water pump. With the car at 90K plus it makes sense to do the stuff you can access while it is accessible. What I don't want to do is disassemble again for a $50 part, that is why I did all drive belt components. There is a good value in these cars due to dealer maintenance, buy a 535 at 100K miles and do the preventative stuff, tranny, water pump, drive belt, etc., cost around 1000 in parts vs 5000 at the dealer.
