Replacing bowden cable of driver side out handler

Hi all! Need help here!

When I replacing the driver side door lock, I found that the bowden cable connects to the out handle was damaged, so I have to replace the cable. I checked TIS and found that, for driver side, as the handle carrier comes with the key lock, so I had to remove the trim of the window frame. This looks pretty weired. Any one of you has this experience to taking off the driver side out door handle carrier? Do I have to remove the window trim? Thanks for help!
