Hi all,

Unfortunately for me, my neighbours (and wife) are upset at the lovely sound that my 2011 F10 550i n63 makes upon cold startup.

Does anyone know if it is possible to delete the cold start feature as I really do not want to change my exhaust.

Coding - I don't know of a way. But I do this on my N55 easily with MHD "cold start noise reduction".

I have MPE which I only leave installed during summer months. I change several of the options that go with my tune between seasons. One of the things is that I disable cold start for summer for reasons similar to yours.

I used the bootmod3 to not only tune my N55 engine, but also to remove the cold start as well. It’s not cheap, but it’s not just a cold start delete. Worth looking into either this or the other tune mentioned for gaining some performance at the same time.

I believe it's a DME/Tune related item, cannot be coded out simply via Esys.

Thank you all. My car is an N63 (non TU), so from what I've been told as well as what unspec has said, its DME out.
