Vertini RF1.1 wheels
Hey everyone,
Thought I'd post a picture of the new wheels that I got installed today. I'll take more pics when the car and wheels are clean. After over a month of extreme balancing issues with a brand new set of Niche Targa M131's I ended up getting a refund and paid the difference for these wheels. Well worth it!!! The wheels are way lighter the cast Niche Targa's. These RF1.1's are Rotary Forged by the way. In person they have a very brilliant hyper silver to them and pictures literally do them no justice. There is a thick clear coat on them that you probably will not see in any picture online but when I do finally have a chance to take some I'll try to show the clear coat. It's a deep looking coat that reminds me of clear silicone sort of and behind it the wheel actually has a beautiful brushed aluminum finish that catches your eye immediately. Oh and the clear coat is on the face of the wheel as well as on the inside. IMG_0692 by bighurmjr, on Flickr IMG_0690 by bighurmjr, on Flickr Last edited by BigHurmJr; 07-14-2015 at 08:55 PM.. |

Thanks man. I like them. I loved the Niche Targa's but these are growing on me more and more each time I look at them. Each I think the front wheels are 3 lbs lighter and the rears are 4 lbs lighter that the Niche's.

Here you go. I still haven't washed it yet. Lol. The first one is the front and the second pic is the rear.
The offset on the front is 25 and the rear is 45. I know, I know everyone says that the perfect offset is 35 to sit flush with fender but on my car a 35 offset sticks outside of the front fender and I hated that!!! I had the 35eft on the fronts with Niche's. So I got the lower offset and it sits a whole lot better but I still think it could sit in a little bit further but I'm happy with this. I'll probably lower the car during the winter months. Been thinking on the H&R and Eibach. I'll probably go with the Eibach though because the drop isn't as drastic and the car is a daily driver with a family and uneven roads on the normal routes I travel. Hey, Nice rims,
I was actually looking at getting a set in 19s or 20s. I'm seriously considering an upgrade from the stock 17", just to differentiate my car from loads of company/rental vehicles on the road. I do loads of Motorway mileage, its a Aug 2014 car and i have close to 50k on the Odo already. How does the ride compare? The roads are decent, I live in Ireland. Its also a quarter time family car. What tire sizes did you get for your 20s? Do you mind sharing the exact specs and configuration (so i can copy & paste). I dont like wheels poking out too. Cheers |

The ride quality on them are good. For me they ride the same because my car had upgraded 6 series M Sport wheels from the factory. I can easily tell that rims are lighter than the factory ones. Acceleration feels quicker and stopping is definitely better (although that could be attributed to new tires as well). My front wheels are 20x9 with 25eft. The rears are 20x10.5 with 45eft. They sit really nice and flush with the fender but still look more aggressive which I like. All in all I thought this was a great purchase and would do it again. Hope that helps. |

Was I able to get the stats to you in enough time before ordering? As far as rim protection I guess it can't hurt to have that which most low pros have nowadays anyway. I just go a little wider in the tire size and that could act as you rim protection. I currently have 245/35 in the front and I like the way that sits and drives. And I have 275/30 in the rears. If I had to do it all over again I would get at least 285 in the rear. But I'll be sure to get those next time I'm in need of tires. |

I like the lines of the wheels so went ahead and ordered whilst waiting for you to respond. And yeah the wheels guy recommended 245/35 and 285/30 so im looking at those
It was whilst browsing for tyres i learnt that some tyres come with Rim/Wheels protection. I will get one of those since it wont hurt. I'm not lowered nor planning to [yet]., not sure if it will affect warranty. Thanks for chiming in. My car is Sophisto grey (looks more black than grey) so should turn out just like yours. When i install the rims i will share photos. you have ET 25 in front? mine is coming with 35 front and 45 rear, so if its too snug i will use some 10mm spacers. Regards |

Yeah they hung outside of my fenders on the front with 35 offset. I hated that!!! Before I bought these RF1.1's I had a set of Niche Targa m131 and they had 35 offset. The front wheels clearly sat outside of the fenders.
I don't know maybe my car is made different because all the wheel shops say 35 sits flush but it definitely didn't on my car. If you used a 10mm spacer the it would hang out even further. With my 25 I would be able to us a 10 to get back to a 35offset. Yeah my car is sophisticated grey too. |

I thought it was the other way round with offsets eg if the wheels are ET45 and you use a 10mm spacer then you are now at ET35
So I'm wondering why ET 25 sank deeper than 35 for you. I'm waiting on the delivery of my wheels and tires...give or take they should be here by Friday. |

Update: the wheel dealer mailed me to say the wheels he was sent from warehouse is front ET 20!
Should i go ahead? I dont want any poking of wheels? Flush will be my optimum target. F 9 x 20 ET 20 R 10.5 x 20 ET 45 Vertini RF1.1 |

Offset is measured from the "Back" of the wheel surface mount to the center of the wheel. Meaning that the back (the part you cannot see when it's bolted on the car) of the mounting point of the is 20 mm from the center of the rim. It means that you won't have much of a concave on the front rims. But I think you'll like it. I honestly don't know why everyone started doing the 35 offset in the front at least on an f10. |
