brake line to abs bent due to seized nut

Anyone have an issue where the brake line wouldn’t come off due to the top nut being seized?

Anti seize stuff was sprayed by shop and kept over night and the top line bent because the bolt wouldn’t budge

Looks like on the F10 that top line (labeled 8 in diagram) connects to the abs box which is also in the driver footwell. The line i need to replace is on the driver side so I may have lucked out a little.

Any input from people having experienced a similar issue is appreciated.

Do I need to use ista+ to bleed the brakes.
Or is a normal caliper bleed fine as long as some fluid still remains in the abs system

I haven’t dealt with bleeding the brakes myself, but I’ve heard stories on here of people doing it without ISTA, and also stories of others that experienced soft brakes until using ISTA and going through the procedure.

Seems fairly split from what I’ve read.

Electronic bleed with ISTA or scan tool triggering is the best.

If you don’t have access to those tools, normal 2 person pump and open the line is ok as well. If you are one person without tools, normal gravity bleeding is ok too. After bleeding and your pedal felt soft, there is a way around it. It is unorthodox but I take the vehicle to about 50mg and then slam on the brake to almost 0mph. It triggers ABS pump to prime. Do this a few times and it should firm up.

Aren't you supposed to counterhold the button line?
