437m on 2013 550i Xdrive
Bought a set and took them to a Mavis Tire today to switch out my wheels and they said they would not fit on the front due to the tire hitting the suspension. I brought them home and bolted one on the front and it is close. I have a 12mm spacer on already and it looks like if I go to a wider spacer the wheel might stick out past the fender too much. Anyone had success mounting this setup on my same car? Thanks

Your two posts on this subject need just one more piece of information. What is the offset on the wheels? It should be another number, possibly labelled with an ET, on the inside of the wheel. With that number, we could better advise you on the fitment.

Those aren't genuine wheels - 19x8.5" is stamped on them but the front wheels are actually 19x9.0"

If all wheels are 8.5", then it is likely that the 40mm offset wheels are for the front, and yes, that offset is too large and you would need spacers, otherwise the front wheels would be car-inwards too much, and touch the suspension, as your tire shop has indicated. You could run a 12mm spacer on the front, and then it would move them out to an effective offset of 28mm, and this would match the 29mm offset for the rears. Both front and rear would then easily fit the car.

35mm, all wheels are the same size. I tried a 12mm spacer on the front . Looks close and adding the tire on the rim might be pushing it. Won’t know until I try it I guess. I’m afraid if I go to like a 20mm they will stick out too far past the fender. Thanks

Well, that wheel size is very close to the M-Sport OEM 351M wheels, which are 19x8.5, ET33. I cannot guarantee it, but those specs should work with normal sized tires, which would be 245/40/19. Many have added 10-12mm spacers (as indicated a while back on this forum) on the OEM wheels with success, moving the wheels outwards without causing tires to rub.
