MPG and reliability on 2016 528

I currently own a bmw 528i 2016, and even though it's a 4 cylinder turbo it's pretty fun to drive in sport mode. Is it bad for the engine to always drive in sport? My gas mileage is 16 in the city. I also drive around 110-120 on the highways and I pretty much drive it pretty hard 50% of the time otherwise I drive it normally on comfort with low rpms and get 22 mpg city.

Would this affect repairs in the future? I have good tires, brake pads, changed air filters, had oil changed all done in time. And it's at 40k miles

Drive it hard. Keep all the maintenance up to date. Don't worry about a thing if keeping it stock
