Welcome koby.
Your car looks pretty much like mine. Hot! Photo pretty small, waiting for more. What's your spec. (color, interior color, options)? kind of tires you have? mod wish list?

thanks RC3!
mines sophisto grey w cinnamon interior. just standard specs plus the sunroof. running nitto invo tires and so far quite happy with them. very quiet, even quieter than the stock 17 RFTs. have just tined the windows, and already have the aero kit on order. still contemplating lowering it, but havent figured out where to buy RD springs yet. guessing in the end, both our cars will look very similar! |

You won't go wrong with lowering your car, body roll reduced tremendously. For RD springs, you need to order aboard such as ********** and etc. No. local dealer here. Just get a mod shop to install for you.

just the factory m aero from the promo that bmw parts dept had. nothing revolutionary. really like the subtle nature of the OEM kit. plus the boot spoiler.
what kits are you considering? |

M aero kit is the top of my list. The dealer's package is vey tempting, can even do interest free installments. But my wife won't approve.
May be later, and may do it outside so it's cheaper. You made me jealous, bro. I think the M kit is the coolest, but if I do it I will do quad exhaust together, but it's damn expansive. Talking about the hamann or supersprint which are the only ones for the 523/528 now. Wonder if any shop can do custom made, should be cheaper. The Southern Cal. guys had it. Also personally I found the M kit has to go with the shadow line window trims. I have the chrome now. Will break my bank again to retrofit. Wonder if any shop here can do vinyl wrap. I know I can buy the vinyl and DYI, but I don't think I have the patient and the skill.

koby, do they charge you RFT for the M aero kit? Some say yes and some say no, good if you can confirm.

So as you guys may remember I was toying w the idea of swapping out for a set of 20" wheels. Happy to report that I've taken the plunge and have put on a set of 20" GTS in mirror paint. Will use this opportunity to share some thoughts and pros & cons
Aesthetically the impact of the additional 1" rim size is nominal, but the the overall appearance is marginally enhanced. The 19" wheels look more "factory" like and IMO the F10 should have minimum 19" as standard. Given the slightly lower profil tire in the 20" the car really does look like it needs a drop w 20" and not necessarily a must w 19". Ride quality is very similar. The 19" were running Nitto Invo while the 20" on Bridgestone RE001. Same 245FF and 275RR sizes. You feel a bit more of the road undulations but in normal suspension mode both are comfortable enough for daily use. Performance is also similar. I reckon the total weight of the 20" GTS w bridgstone is similar to 19" VMR w Nitto. Throttle response is similar and braking is virtually the same. All in quite happy w the swap up in size. Only thing now is I think a drop is needed and I'm unsure about mucking w the oem suspension and potentially invalidating my warranty... Hope this helps anyone who is considering these options... |

Thanks koby for the update. We need some photos though, please.
You mentioned you are driving in normal suspension mode, do you mean you have Adaptive drive i.e. electronic damper and stabilizer? You have your M sport installed yet?

Will post some pictures when I return... Right now I'm in the middle of Canucks fever! Normal suspension for me = standard dynamic settings like comfort, sport and sport+. I've customized the 2 settings to be just chasis for sport. M sport is already on... Think the M sport highighted the need for the 20" in particular. |

I think koby doesn't have adaptive drive. He meant normal rather than comfort.
Koby. You don't have electronic dampers so your DDC has no effect on your shocks. Don't be confused. Ha. I'm in french open fever. Federer was awesome last night. Can't wait the next Nadal match.
