You probably would've had fun growing up there in that era then, I know I did. It was pretty amazing. It was a different place/culture in those days. It's unfortunate that it's getting a bad rap nowadays.

I still listen to all of those bands. In fact, I listen to the likes of Tool, Audioslave, Godsmack, Stone Temple Pilots, Hum, etc. daily.

Agreed. Did you ever watch the movie "Singles" back in the 90s? That was a perfect slice of life in Seattle in those days. Some of the scenes were places I went to regularly, including spots I'd drive by on the way to work near where I lived.

That soundtrack was good (1992). Cornell had a cameo in that movie. Of course Pearl Jam members made up Matt Dillon's rock band in that movie which was hilarious. They were called "Citizen Dick".

Not sure if you're familiar with lesser bands from that area in those days including The Screaming Trees, Candlebox and Mudhoney.

"I nearly lost you" is one of my favorite Screaming Trees songs. I love Alice too. "Would" is one of my favorite track/canyon cuts.

Check out a song called "Bed of Roses" by Screaming Trees, it's awesome. If you liked grunge you will like this song. They were kind of a one hit wonder I suppose. They're officially from Ellensburg, WA, not Seattle. Chris Cornell actually produced the album that track is on.

Sedan just reminded of their hit "Nearly Lost You". I forgot that one.
