Bimmerpost App 5.x WIP for Android

When I get notification about a new post in a subscribed thread, it takes me to the beginning of the last page and I have to scroll down to the newest posts manually

Ok I just released a new version with Dark mode. Try it and see what you think. It's our first implementation of a dark mode so more refinement will come for sure.

But if you have feedback we would love to hear it!

I'm in dark mode now. I can now barely see the pictures on the all Forum page and the words on the rest of the pages are barely visible.. and typed words on the screen won't show as I'm typing .. don't show up until after I hit spacebar.

The sign in page is better now😁

Even with the brightness set to max, the description of the Thread dn Editor settings is a bit hard to read. Android 11, Samsung device.
Landscape mode fixed, thanks!

Saw this below in a DM with the just released version. I have dark mode elsewhere, so might be related. Also, THANK YOU for dark mode. Similar white bleed on the post actions (triple dots to edit this post)

True, settings area is still very wonky with the colors

Ok I just put a new version in the app store with all those fixes and added in the ability to see who appreciated a post

Can't figure out how to load a pic on the app. PC version toolbar in this thread has no photo embed icon

Other threads do.... so they are just attached.

Light mode (good), then dark mode (hard to read on phone) then a light mode with hazy pics, then light mode with sharp pics, then dark mode with dull pics.

Kind of all over the map

It looks like you are turning dark more on and off while using the app?

For now the app has to be totally restarted whenever you change dark mode

Can I run the app in light mode when the rest of my phone is set to dark mode? I like my phone in dark mode, but would prefer Bimmerpost not in dark more. Or is it just how the phone is set up. It just seems the lettering shouldn't be gray.

Keyboard is still way behind my typing speed.

For now it will follow the phone settings, but we will add it as an option down the road 👍

Was at Rev 5.1.18, downloaded 5.1.20, checking settings indicates version 5.1.1?? Not sure where I'm at now.

I'll watch for additional updates and download and check revision again.

Also, cannot change font size when composing a message, am I missing a setting or I'm I missing something altogether?

I'm sure it's right in front of me but I can't see where I can switch back to the light version. This current dark version is to dark for me, hard to read some of the text in bright light. Earlier versions were better, IMHO.

Any ideas how to revert back?

You can't turn it off, it will follow your system colors. But make sure you close the app completly and restart it to make sure you have tge correct color setup.

I've also just released a new version a few minutes ago (5.1.4) with some tweaked dark mode colors in the news and forums sections. Let me know if it's any better?

We are still learning dark mode
