What model/model year? The content in packages changed during the production run. They may be included in a package...or could be a stand-alone option on some models/model years.

But ditto the reply above...the ventilated seats are option code S453A ...so if you do a VIN decode...that option code should be listed if they have ventilated seats.

Just look at the front seats. If it is perforated, it have ventilated seats.

It does not necessary come with rear sun shades. My car came with rear sun shades but no ventilated seats so I had to swap seats, center vent controls and some coding. It’s a fairly easy job.

I think the only main thing is the language and maps. You may need to find a local coder to code it to your region’s language and update the maps.

On car importing, you need to check with your Government --- there should be designated sites/pages dealing with that. I know when I brought my car from the U.S. to Canada, I need paperwork, payment of taxes, payment of other fees, and then a full check once in Canada to bring it up to their requirements.

Hi, how rare are the ventilated seats on an f10? Just want to get a number if possible, thanks.

I can't really quantify it, but I'm going to say at most 20% of the ones I see for sale have them. It's actually something I look for as my wife insists on the seat massage feature which they have. Ventilation is just sort of a bonus to it I suppose. I hate the massager FWIW, and ventilation is rarely used. Seat heaters daily though... LOVE those things!

Thanks, they seem kinda rare from what I’ve seen from those listed online. My dads 535 has the luxury seating package that has the massaging seats and ventilated seats. Those seats are very comfortable with over 10 way controls. However the standard seats that come in 5 series don’t look as comfortable.

The regular sport seats are pretty nice as well! That's all I would need.
Base seats... meh.

I'd say that an F10 535 with massage and ventilated seats is a rare vehicle. This seat option is much more common in a 550 or an ///M5.

Additionally, an F10 535 with massage/ventilated seats, rear shades, AND a full leather dashboard + full leather door cards might be a "Unicorn"....in any color combination. If you have one of these, keep it running.

I only ask this because my dad has a black 535 with the ventilated/massage seats and now that you mention it, it does have the rear shades as well. I am super surprised on how rare it might actually be. I wanted to see if there could be a number I could put to the amount of 535s with the ventilated/massage seats. Now I’m realizing it would be very hard to do so lol.

Thanks for your insight.

Not to divert your thread too much, but over the years, as I watch BMW age, those that remain on the road in "nice" condition, seem more often than not, to only be the base model.

I get that pleather is easy to maintain and leather is not. I get basic wheels are easier to clean, but it would be nice to see a well optioned BMW with 200K miles on it, every once in a while....

So...keep your well-optioned 535 in good condition too!

Yes totally agree with you. It only has 78k miles on it. There are signs of wearing by the bolsters which is really common. However that’s the only spot on the seats where there is visible wear.

Here are some photos (I do car photography on instagram).
N55 has been reliable thus far. Unfortunately anything aftermarket on 5 series are expensive, especially some coilovers. But some lowering springs allowing to keep the adaptive suspension will look way better. Pennsylvania roads and all the potholes is the main reason it’s not lowered.

If you think Philly has bad roads, you haven't ridden on roads in Western PA, specifically Pittsburgh.

Between the salt and potholes, I'd say your car is holding up very well....and it's black. Back in the day, all the F10's would be in black...now I don't see a single one. Have no idea where they went...still see a lot of white F10's.

Have you considered adding factory options to your vehicle like ACC or (?).

Mind sharing the exhaust you have on your F10? I'm shopping around for an exhaust for my daily driver '14 F10 535 but the N55 MPE is hard to find....(currently out of commission due to a failed water pump at 49,800 miles on the Odometer).

Oh I’m sure of it! Very cool that your located in PA as well.

How would I go about get rear AC. This car doesn’t have it unfortunately, but I do know of a guy who has the rear AC in his 535 in Europe. Very cool option that is not seen too much.

The exhaust setup is just a Dinan mufflers. It’s plenty loud still, especially on cold start. It is a daily so didn’t want it to be too loud and obnoxious.
