Not yet. Buddy and I got the oil change, oil filter housing gasket and oil cooler gasket replaced. Will finish on the 17th. Will let you know how it goes

Currently changing the oil using LIQUI MOLY MFC, oil filter housing gasket, oil cooler gasket and belt all installed courtesy of Burrninja himself! everything ordered from ECS Tuning. comes to find out it looks like my Indy mechanic never actually changed out my oil filter housing gasket 2 years ago by looking at the gasket as it was pretty hard and not soft? we're suspecting he changed the oil cooler gasket instead as it still looked new. pretty ridiculous if you ask me! anyways, gonna use some simple green to scrub out all the oil cake build up on the motor where all the pulleys are with a wire brush. also gonna remove the cover underneath that protects the engine since it's been drenched in oil!



also my 4" tips came in! can't wait to get these on

Use the purple stuff. The green will eat aluminum!

Simple Green makes a purple colored solution that's aluminum safe. Don't ask how I know about the green stuff...

Thats why i do all servicing myself. I use Liquimoly 4200 on my diesel. Highly Recommend ceratech from them also.

I use the Simple Green to clean my stove. That's about it. I thought I could use it on the car but i guess not lol.

been busy that last couple of days just cleaning up all the oil sludge that was left on the motor when i had the oil filter gasket housing replaced. as most of you know when it leaks it drips onto the belt which than flings all over everything. Much cleaner now!

what a PITA LOL! so because the gyms are now closed in Ohio i decided to put my energy into installing the VRSF catless dp. so there were quite a few issues i ran into. the 2nd nut bracket was really hard to get off because of how much room there was to work with. i eventually got it off but it did take some time. the 2nd was no matter what i do there just wasn't enough room to get the dp off with the exhaust still on. so that was the 3rd issue was removing the whole exhaust system including removing the lower brace bracket. once the exhaust was dropped it was just a matter of wiggling off the dp.

alright, got the Vibrant defouler installed along with all the OEM o2 sensors. per discussion in the Vibrant defouler thread i used the middle size restrictor and i have it facing upward as recommended. hope this helps other people interested in doing this as i couldn't find any info on which defouler to use which restrictor to use and the fact it needs to face up!




so after everything was installed i'm happy to report there's no CEL!!!!!!

just ordered the TurboSmart Dual Port VR9 BOV! heard great reviews from Kies Motorsports as well as a pretty cool install and sound video by ThicGarage

off to the muffler shop!


gonna have my guy cutoff the existing 3.5" exhaust tips and weld a new 2.5" piping off the muffler to extend out more past the diffuser. reason being is currently the tips are hidden underneath the diffuser like so



here's what the exhaust looks like for those wondering


so sitting with him we had to discuss how it's going to be done because the spacing from the two 3.5" pipes will be an issue when going to the larger 4" pipes. the exhaust tip on the outer side will remain the same since i have about a .25" gap between the diffuser and the tip. the inner exhaust pipe is what will be a task for him. he decided to cut the pipe about .75" from the muffler and than add the new pipe but he will have to have a slight bend that way the tips will lineup without rubbing. he said it's doable. also, i am eliminating the EVC since i always leave it open so there's really no point in keeping it



so it's currently at the shop now and i should have it back tomorrow. i'll post some pictures when i do

Update! picked the Meisterschaft's up this morning from the muffler shop! here's whats left of the old tips and EVC


okay, from the top view you can see what my guy had to do. he cutoff and welded new 2.5" pipe which extends further than what i had before. he also had to on the inner exhaust pipe bend out a bit to accommodate the larger tips from 3.5" to 4.0" tips.







everything still looks centered


still plenty of room due to how large the opening is on the carbon fiber diffuser



so tomorrow i will continue working on installing the tips however i need to turn the VRSP as it's sitting low and if you turn it counter clockwise it should be running flush with the bottom of the car. than i'll re attach the exhaust mounts and everything else. will post some pictures when i'm done!

after a year of almost smashing my back window i finally ordered and received the new trunk tension springs. so the first picture is why the trunk flies open. the middle plastic broke off on the end there.



and here's both sides completed and i'm happy to report no more smashing windows!

finally got the exhaust tips done! here i am before clamping things down is to check and make sure the tips sit exactly where i want them.



after than i went ahead and put the cf diffuser tray back on










i'm very happy with the way these turned out! it's what i imagined what they would be. now it just makes my backend that more aggressive!
