Extended warranty pricing?
Finally got my imperial blue 535XD about a month ago...having a blast driving it....
Does anybody have a source for getting good deals on extended warranties? Is anybody familiar with the Totalcare extended warranty? Apparently they include wheel and tire overage in their policies! Thanks for your help in advance! |

Total care is pretty good. If you get the package, you get the wheel and tire included in it. I don't have any problems with claims as long as you meet their requirements.
Eg. claiming tire damage needs to have punction(bubbles or bent rims without breaking the seal does not qualify) |

My SA recommended Route 66. I'm reading up on them now.
Will do the same for Total Care.

Realize this is a necro, but since I didn't revive it, I'll add to it
I went with Route 66 Easy Street for my 2012 550i when I got it in February. Was 2995, the text of the contract was basically "this covers everything the original factory warranty covers, EXCEPT:" and then had a list of wear parts. Also doesn't cover the iDrive or nav. I made a backup of my CIC hard drive and figure I'll upgrade the whole thing to NBT if it dies. I bought the car at 38k miles in Feb 2017 and am covered for 5 years or up to 100k on the odometer. I talked to an advisor with Rte 66 and verified that catback exhaust doesn't void the warranty on the motor. Cats or new downpipes would, however. |

I think route 66 is offered only through credit unions. I got mine from penfed.
Mine had specific language about navigation and electronic entertainment systems not being covered. I thought mine covered shocks, which is why I was holding off on new springs. May have to check the paperwork again.... |

Route 66 is only through credit unions (Patelco in my case, NorCal). From their website, email them your location and they'll get back to you quickly with credit union(s) in your area.
Shocks aren't in any of the warranties that I've seen, even BMW's Platinum.
