So I beat 954stealth to it this time! Just starting this thread for race chat. It is the greatest time of the year for sports car racing!

The Z4 GTE's look faster in the straights this year. Anyone catch what happened to the Turner car?

Holy shit did anyone catch auberlin absolutely go off on Nick Tandy? He just called him the worst race car driver out there, never passes cleanly, and called him an "absolute idiot".

Must have been really bad for such a usually mellow guy like Bill to say that, the announcers were shocked a call out came from him of all people.

Saw that. Nick Tandy is a dumbass. Did you see him trying to pass the C7 on the front straight while on the apron?

Vettes are really quick. They should win this as long as they can stay out of trouble. Ganassi Fords are looking very strong as well. But long ways to go, anything can happen.

Yeah, didn't see the auberlen pass but saw the vette one. For such an experienced pro you'd think he'd have some class to not pass so aggressively, especially early on in a 24hr race. Hopefully he gets penalized this race.

Tranny had a malfunction. I think they just finished rebuilding the tranny. They should be back on shortly.

12 hours left in this race, I'm surprised the announcers are still announcing at 3AM EST. I thought they would just go with live video with no commentary.

The #4 vette is knocked out, Barring any accidents it looks like a vette z4 race to the finish.

What happened to the porsches last night? All of the fell out of contention.

EDIT: well this answers it lol, teammates hit each other.

Good question, woke up and all basically out of the running. The Riley/BMW's in P class did not make the night in contention either.

I was there last august covering a race. I needed a bicycle to get around. Thats a first at a NASCAR track for me.

Thoughts on the Z4? A broken racecar is a good racecar?
