The issue I think he will have is that the team is built around Lewis and he style of driving is very different then Button's. Button does not deal well at all with a loose rear end, and Lewis can and does use it well. So if next year's car is anything like this year, then it will be much more suited to Lewis's driving style.
It will be interesting too see how he does next year.

If Shuey does return, and he has a competitive car, it will make a very exciting season, especially if the boyz at Ferrari have a good car because they will have very good driver line up, if not the best in the paddock.

+1. But a Schumacher return would add a whole new level of drama. 2010 F1 is going to be awesome regardless. I can hardly wait.

Schumacher reveals comeback is close

Luca di Montezemolo, has confirmed that Michael Schumacher's return to Formula One with Mercedes Benz is now a near certainty. He shed some light on the Schumacher at Ferrari's Christmas lunch in Fiorano: "I hadn't spoken to him since Abu Dhabi but I spoke to him yesterday (Wednesday)," … "He phoned me and he told me that there is a very, very, very strong possibility [of racing for Mercedes-Benz]. Having said that, it is not 100 per cent decided. But that is what he said yesterday morning."

McLaren had better start looking for a new engine supplier STAT

There is NO way Mercedes is going to give them quality engines, not with Schuey racing for the silver arrows and Lewis Hamilton being his main rival.

With a 10 engine per season limit all it takes is a couple of duds and Hamilton's season is ruined.

Secret test planned for Schumacher

According to British newspaper The Mirror Mercedes Grand Prix team is planning a top secret test for Schumacher in the Middle East . He is likely to test a GP2 car as the team is not allowed to run a Formula 1 car as Formula 1 is banned from testing in the winter months. The test is to see if Schumacher’s injured neck will hold.

I know like everyone here does that it's almost certain that Schumacher is returning to F1 with the Mercedes team (neck injury OK that is), but I did hear that the figure involved to secure him was truly incredible and given the difficulties that all manufacturers are suffering it's surely a kick in the teeth to the employees of Mercedes who are suffering at the moment.
