How to Removing Trunk Emblem

HI All

Has anyone replaced/removed the trunk emblem for the F10 model?
I have removed the hood emblem and it is not like what the online instruction shows that only held by 2 pins with rubber grommetts. It actually has heavy duty double sided tape.

I couldn't get the trunk emblem off at all. I don't want to force it by damaging the surrounding paint. Can anyone tell me if the trunk emblem is just like the hood one or is it actually part of the trunk?

Thank you all in advance.

Put masking tape around the emblem so you don't damage the paint and try and prise it off with a screwdriver wrapped in a bit of cloth. You know where the pins are (east west), so you know where to concentrate your efforts!

Cut along strow from Mc Donalds, slide under emblem, then pull two ends of strow.
Safe & effective
No Screwdrivers!

wow, never thought of that... hardly doubt a straw will damage any paint. but threading it through the back of the emblem might be a challenge.

Use a nylon fishing line. It will cut thru the double sided tape without a problem. Then use Goo-Gone to remove any excess glue.

You might also try a blow drier to heat up the double sided tape to make it a little easier to cut through. I used this method to debadge my 350Z and it worked well. Just a thought.

2014 models hood and trunk badges

Just figured out this morning when I was trying to replace it.
For 2014 models the hood and trunk badges are different. The hood one is double sided tape type and the trunk one is the old 2 pins with rubber grommets style.
So....for the front one I had to cut the 2 pins of the aftermarket one and use 3m VHB double sided tape to attache it to the hood. The trunk one was just normal fit.
