spent some time tweaking the system and listening to it over the last few days. all without using the AudioFischertech DSP program yet as i will be downloading that on my next day off. for now i have the TREBLE settings set to about 65% and BASS at 30%. Rockford Fosgate sub is set to 80hz with gain set to 40%. if i turn up the BASS pass 30% it starts to muddy up the subwoofer at higher levels. the system really comes alive guys! speakers are still breaking in and it's only gonna sound better as i put more hours into the speakers. if you're a bass head or just love listening to music I can't tell you how much this has improved over factory. and before those who ask well what about for those with the Harmon Kardon systems? I've been in plenty of loaners from BMW when i bring my car in for services and honestly...not impressed. honestly i've been in lower end cars that have better factory sound systems. sad sad BMW!

like mentioned about tuning i had to play around with the sub placement as all my other cars that have full audio systems i didn't have to worry about it but with BMW they really have good sound proofing. the rear seat really dampers the bass. there's an article i read that shows the f10 rear seats almost lowers the output by 5dbs+. with the ski port open it does sound better but what i found the most optimum is having the passenger left seat completely down. you can really feel the bass hit without any distortion. also instead of the sub enclosure sitting directly behind the rear seat i found it sounds best sitting to it's side as pictured. i'm guessing it uses the whole trunk space as an enclosure as well. not a big deal as i still have plenty of trunk space for groceries and what not.


here's where i installed the Bass Control Knob. the funny thing when it comes to BASS is every song that you listen to has either crazy bass, not enough bass or just right. most bass heads will adjust the bass knob accordingly to whatever song that may be on and change it as each song is playing. so it's nice to have this knob at arms reach.


here's what came with the Rockford Fosgate enclosure to keep it from moving. very strong...so strong it's really a PITA to pickup the enclosure. after a some spirit driving this morning the sub doesn't move for anything.


now my only issue is the brake light on top of the rear window. the bass hits so hard it rattled it out of the housing. i gotta find a way to keep it in and without rattling lol

Keeping up with lsturbointeg is not easy. I like his roof spoiler but I didn't want to spend $750 (maybe I should have) so I got next best thing, $299 CF W style roof spoiler from JL Motoring https://jl-motoring.com/collections/...r-roof-spoiler

Thank you! I am not sure either, but that was the cheapest CF W style roof spoiler for F10 that I was able to find.

oh man so excited guys! i finally got my approval from the bank (wifey) to finish up the rest of my garage flooring from RaceDeck. i only got half of it done at the time because i also had ordered my HF Toolbox and Husky Cabinet system but now i can order the other half and get it down so i can start finishing up all the decors and what not (banners, wall art, cool decorations, mechanic chairs). so for those who haven't been with me at the start here's a few pictures of the RaceDeck diagram i came up with and a couple of the install shots along with the HF blue tool box with locker and end cabinets as well as the Black Husky cabinets i ordered and installed from Home Depot.

So the only thing left before i can slap these wheels back on is waiting for my new valve stems to be delivered. the old one's are leaking so they need to be replaced
