Hey guys
I keep getting Adaptive Headlight Malfunction on my 2012 535 x drive. Happened after a car wash but all my lights work properly even the inside cornering ones when I turn the steering wheel. The error code is driving me nuts though Is there a way I can disable adaptive headlights (I don’t care for the cornering lights) I found the following in expert mode of footwell module FRM 3400 AHL_Enable is set to aktiv What happens if I set that to nicht_aktiv ? Thanks

Hey all. Looking for some help.
Anyone around the Detroit area that can help with one quick coding? My ESys is stuck in a loop of token creation and i can't figure out how to get past it (or if someone can help me figure out how to fix this issue that would be great too). Trying to add in gentleman's function in my F10 5 series and just need anyone that might have working ESys or Bimmercode to change the necessary values. If anyone's willing to help please let me know. Thanks. |

hi shawnsheridan ,
Would you happen to know if the coding can be done to disable heated steering option? Installing a performance steering wheel and the car heated steering wheel. Instructions state not to connect the heating connector and it will throw an error. Right now not sure if it'll be a nagging error or just an error int he control unit when scanning. If the later is the case then wont' need to deal coding lol

I briefly checked mycarly and I dont think they have this option so I'll need to look into getting the right coding cables and software. Only coding i've done lately is with PIWIS for Porsches. Would you have a copy/paste/link guide ? Else i'm sure I can RTFM and figure out what FA and VO is

Hi All,
I have just replaced the battery and a previously working ISTA+ is not working anymore. Basically, yesterday I connected ISTA to my car and read the error codes. It said my battery was worn, so today I got another one fitted. This was registered/activated by the garage that fitted it. I came home to connect up ISTA to check for any new error codes and now I can't connect to the vehicle. I even had the original connection still active on my laptop, but when I ask it to check for faults it doesn't recognise it as the same car. Starting a fresh connection tells me that it can't connect to the vehicle and I need to activate testing-analysis-diagnosis at the vehicle. I am not sure what this is, how it is done, and why it is required (never had to do it before). Just to reiterate - this is a working version of ISTA, with a working cable etc, the only thing that has changed is: a) a new battery and b) the battery was activated by a garage but I am not sure what they used. It reported that activation was successful however. No errors within the normal idrive system. Is there some kind of activation required for using ISTA on a car that has had it's battery disconnected? I don't mean coding of the battery to the car, I mean putting the car into a mode where it can be diagnosed with ISTA?
