I actually like it. This M sports addition def. makes me want this car even more. It's very practical for a family with 2+ kids.

The new F11 is beautiful and would sell a boatload more than this 5GT in the US.

This car is just dreadful. I even prefer the Panamera to this thing. M-Sport will just make it less obvious

5er Gran Turismo is a euro-market-centric vehicle where it meets it's sales obligations. The car is also a strong seller in Russia and other Eastern European markets.
In Asia and especially China. 5er Gran Turismo is seen as a more exclusive choice to the domestic market 5er Li. Let me get one thing clear again. 5er Gran Turismo is meeting it's projected targets for a low volume vehicle. Customers who have purchased the GT feel that the car meets their expectations and are happy with their choice. Just because the 5er GT does not succeed in the USA does not mean the car fails elsewhere. Many seem to think that is the case. In regards to the F11 debate in the USA , Sales were not meeting projected targets, no one bought them even when people knew about them , and even when they were in the showrooms customers took the X5 instead. Finally GT is not and is not intended as the media portray, a competitor to the Audi A7 , Mercedes-Benz CLS or Porsche Panamera. The specifics of the GT are worlds apart from those car's.

How can BMW make the GT any more ugly? Add the sport kit to it.
Who drive wagon type of car these day? That's what the x5 is for.

I can't believe they are still making these UGLY cars, and that they are going to make a 3 series version as well. My dealer has had a 2010 on his floor for well over a year. They dropped the price 11K and still can't sell it. The thing looks like a once sleek sedan that got knocked up.

Good points, however I think the A7 is just an OK design, nothing more than that unfortunatelly. I liked the concept a lot but somehow the production car turned out pretty mediocre and bland, not bad but not very good either. I think the 6er GC will easily blow it away, both in design as well as performance terms. As for the 5er GT, this is not exactly a direct competitor to the A7 imo. The GT is not a low sitting 4-door coupe or anything. It has a high roofline, high glasshouse and the boot sits considerably high. More like a Mercedes R-Class than A7 competitor. Having said that it is very expensive and sadly it doesn't look very good, no matter how well crafted it is and how well it drives. It could have been a lot more beautiful no doubt about that. |

And I'm pretty sure BMW doesn't create something like this to meet a small demand in some countries. They always plan to exceed expectations and have a successfull production cycle wherever they release the car. Take this garbage away and give NA the M3 GTS and M3 EVO. |

these rantings are becoming repetitive, and boring...
i applaud the 5GT owners as forward-thinking and trendsetting individuals. You show good taste in purchasing a vehicle that is not a "one sausage, cut to different lengths" design (3, 5, and 7series sedans). You don't need magazine reviews to decide for you whether to love or hate a car - the same goes for 1series, and X6 owners... like it or not, these are the owners who are defining and embracing the future of this car brand. so all you whiners out there, buckle up and enjoy the ride... |
