N57 535d f10 seized engine help please!!!
I need some help from the gods of bmw scientists please!!!
So here's what happened, bought the car, drove it home parked it, next evening i started it, it cranked and didn't start at first, turned it off and on again started well, two days later after insuring it wanted to take it into inspection started fine, then on the way got on it cold accelerated a bit up to 50 ish mph, got the message to drive moderately no lights on dashboard, on the way to inspection came back got to a redlight, i turned it off and then turned it back on cranked, no start, then tried it again nothing.... got it to a specialist, tried to turn engine manually didn t turn .... no knocks no lights no nothing when the car was running pulled fine no issues ... can anyone shed some light on what im looking at here ??? engine rebuild ?? complete replacement ..? |

Or you have suffered a hydro block, caused by the defective Egr Coolers this cars have, that cracks and leaves pressurized cooling escape inside cylinders… happened to me..
Result: crankshaft bearings damage…solution new (used) engine. Now i change the egr cooler every 100,000 kms. Or you have a timing chain failure.. |
