535d and Racechip
I have had car 3 weeks and gone 2,500 miles. I love this car!
I have been reviewing Racechip amd Chip Express. Most who use either seem very happy. I went with Racechip because there seemed more empirical outside data on power and user reviews. Car pulls hard and smooth. Comfort is really usable now with gobs of torque. Sport is very snappy and the tach cannot seem to keep up in 1st and 2nd. Great fun! Clip on factory connector is a tough one. That is all that takes any time. |

Forgot to also ask if you got regular, pro or ultimate race chip? Also, do you know if it plugs into the fuel & boost sensors or just the fuel sensor?

Julesandtrish,
Honestly, the plug was more difficult than it should have been because the part you pinch to release it is upside down. When you take the cover off and the rubberized silencer is pulled back, the plug is right there. Racechip sends excellent colored instructions. I have the Ultimate. Paul at RC says the faster more advanced processor allows for smoother build up of torque. It is very noticeable difference. It is the fuel rail it plugs in to. |

On day 3 with the RC Ultimate. Car starts, sounds and runs under normal throttle just like stock.
No CELS, or erratic idle. Just very smooth torque coming on faster and with more of it. In sport, everything happens fast. The transmission really comes to life like stock except you now have way more power. I love it and will keep updating. |

Return trip back from GA. 265 miles, average speed about 70, hand calculated 40.15 mpg. RC set as it came.
Car drives wonderfully. Left it in comfort entire trip. Last edited by Fenstermaker1; 03-10-2015 at 07:04 AM.. |

I concur
Hi,
Late to the game but just bought a 2013 535d M sport & stuck an RS RaceChip on it, otherwise stock. It was fast, now it's insane! M Sport that I bought with 'M' badges, that seem to upset purists butt frankly I don't care, the badges look cool and I am happy for them to trigger people without a life! I thought they were from the factory and when I found out they were not I cared enough to leave them on just to trigger anyone with a chip on their shoulder! Love my RaceChip too, I can now deal with Ford V8's in a drag Kind regards, Happy Aussie 535d, RaceChip owner. |
