Why would anyone want to do that??? You don't know what is coming down the pipe and how excited you will get about it. This clearly could lead to car envy and wanting to cheat on your beloved BMW stuck in your garage for the rest of your life. Either you will stray or you will be miserable. Drive for today and deal with tomorrow tomorrow.

E46 330i ZHP. Best all-around car BMW has ever produced IMO. It has performance, reliability (flame suit on), DIY ability, and style all in one package. Great, great car.

then its my 340i engines powerful 0-60 under 5s is good enough for me sonorous exhaust not obnoxious solid rigid chassis trackable and yet comfortable as a daily driver ridiculous efficiency over 30mpg on hiways great handling esp on my rfts on curves good lines of sight front and rear beautiful classy yet sporty lines not obnoxious nice functional interior not obnoxious iDrive is just "useful" and functional lots of useful tech such as Heads-up & speed limits carries passengers with enough comfy room and comfortable ride can adjust adaptive dampers for ride easy to maintain so far ole reliable lots of affordable parts for mods, upgrades, and maintenance plenty of F30 owners with great knowledgebase for sharing just below an M w/o the maintenance costs of one.. I mean its fairly ridiculous how a single car can do this |

You guys in your M1's and ZHP's keep ignoring the signs of the impending zombie apocalypse.

My M3-E92 (the last true V8 M-engine) Of course if the rod bearings survive it...

If it had to be a car, I would go for a manual F80 M3 - it's got enough practicality, looks good, fun to drive, fast - what else would you want ? |

I'd be fine with the next gen X5M. It hauls ass, the family and a trailer.

Hard to say but the best BMW I have had is my current M2. And I have owned BMWs since 1971.

E92 M3 (if it's brand new) lovely engine, still some pracitcality.
If you could still own cars from other brands, I would go with the BMW Z8. I don't know what it is about that car, but I've always felt attracted to it. Timeless design I guess. |

I had an E46 M3 6MT for 8 years. Loved the car, but my 6MT M4 is a much superior vehicle for many reasons. I would not trade the M4 to go back to the E46.
