I have 2011 535i N55 with roughly 132k miles. I recently downloaded Ista+ and have been learning the diagnostics system. When I check the control tree I have a permanent code 133E10 that shows in the DME. This code has never pulled when using regular OBD2 scanners. Can someone shed some light on this. Is this a typical issue with the N55 motor? Is this something I should really be concerned about or is it no big deal? Not sure why the code isn't present when scanning normally.

Ok, well I guess we can delete this thread. I used Ista+ to activate the valvetronics and relearn the vanos limits. Once complete I was able to delete the 133E10 code.

You don't delete threads like this. You've figured out the problem. This might help someone who is experiencing the same issue.

Yes, I feel like all my idle gremlins have been corrected. It seems this valvetronic issue and vacuum leak with my Valvecover was causing the rough idle.
As a side note, when I replaced my spark plugs and gaskets, I pulled both Vanos solenoids and cleaned them thoroughly.

I had the same code appear (also 2013 335i) the other day with no other symptoms at all. Took it to a shop for a full diag and they noticed nothing wrong as well as it passing the full ISTA test plan for valvetronic sweep. They have cleared the code and told me to continue driving as usual as with no other symptoms there’s not much you can do unless you want to replace the shaft, motor, harness etc (around 3-4k with labour) preventively.
