Removal of exhaust shroud and aftermarket tips

Since the oval/squared shroud around the exhaust tips look a little silly to me I was considering something like this:

https://bimmerplug.com/collections/g...42216519958779

Questions are:

1. From some videos I've seen, it seems really easy to remove the shrouds with a couple screws. Is it really that easy?

2. Anyone know the existing tip diameter to order for these?

3. Since the car is so new, can't find anything for the G42. Would ones that are designed for the G 3-series work?

yes they are only held on by 2 10mm bolts.

I asked the same question for these exact tips we need to cut the exhaust back to make it rounded. don't know the size yet.

yes most parts from a 340i should work.

Thanks! I must have missed your post when looking around.

Good to know it's easily done, with the exception of having to cut the end of the pipes. Is that realistically easy to do without a lift and the right tool?

Cutting is super easy. Just search exhaust cutting tool. Like.$30 on amazon or autozone (i think they even rent them out for cheap.

Probably don't even have to jack the car to cut that area.

I'd be slightly more concerned with structure as the exhaust shroud probably gives the diffuser some support. Haven't really got up close in that area yet

Shouldn't be to hard but you wont be able to cut anything properly unless its a bit lifted. You would need a Sawzall or this

https://www.amazon.com/GEARWRENCH-20...54308119&psc=1

I would also get the Exhaust Hanger Removal Pliers
