Power Steering Cutting Out Randomly?

Hello all,

My power steering has randomly started to cut in and out as I drive. It pings and throws up the a fault about the "power steering and to drive moderately to service".

There's no pattern to it, it could be driving along for 30 mins without cutting out then dip in and out for the next hour.

Has anyone had similar issues?

Hello!

I am having the same issue on my sisters 2014 535i. In her words, it typically happens when she puts it in reverse or is steering more than 180degrees rotation.

Have you been able to resolve this issue?
