Help....Pulled CCV Instead of Twisting!!!!

Was tackling the infamous Y fitting for the coolant lines on the intercoolers. I had to remove the CCV hoses in order to change out one of the Air ducts which had a bad seal. In the process I pryed up the CCV where it connects to the valve cover. Total idiot for doing that because I've changed the hose before to update it, I just had a brain fart and forgot it was a "bayonet" fitting and needs to be twisted. Am I screwed? I tried my best digging around in the whole to check for any little bit most of them very small were on the fitting. Doesn't seem like much damage was done. Am I at risk for something getting further into the engine? Also can I just connect CCV back to cover since it is held down by 2 screws. Thanks in advance.....
