After winning the 2025 event outright, BMW are back with 2 entries in a strong GT3 field for this weekends’ 2026 Bathurst 12 hour which kicks off the 2026 season GT challenge series.

BMW Pro-class cars:-
Car 32 - Weertz, Pepper, Van de linde.
Car 46 - Rossi, Farfus, Marciello.

Forget the irrelavent ‘V8 Supercars’ garbage, this is the real Bathurst enduro for manufacturers & knowledgable motorsport enthusiasts alike & it is always a fantastic event.

90 minute update…
Car 32 had a collision in the dark of the first few laps which damaged the front right corner but they are still travelling along with plenty of tape currently holding the car together in 2nd place.
Rossi in car 46 is currently leading the race due mainly to good fuel economy & fortunate safety car timing.
Of note was a huge accident again in the dark early on involving the new Mustang GT3 & another kangaroo on track which resulted in massive damage to the Ford.

Car 46 down in 5th.
Car 32 down in 10th.
Plenty of safety cars.

Race has been stopped with 3.45 remaining due to a huge accident.
Car 46 - 4th
Car 32 - 8th
Big cleanup required before race can restart.

30 minutes remaining…
The 32 car was just taken out by an AMG whilst in the lead causing damage requiring repair.
The 46 car is currently 3rd.

AMG win, Porsche 2nd & the 46 BMW finishes 3rd.
Another great event.

Did you find it slightly ironic that most of the Corvettes and Mustangs either crashed or had problems? A fitting allegory for the state of V8 Supercars.
