Oddments Box Trim 51469111649

1. Unfortunately, this part is NLA.
2. Happily, this part is NLA. Discounted price north of $700.

So, I'm thinking I'd remove the piece (total fun), and glue, with JB Weld plastic adhesive, a flat piece of reinforcing plastic behind, and squeeze that gap together.

If you have a better solution, please advise. Thanks. Ted.

Maybe try a bumber repair place or a plastic repair company if there are any.

I would be surprised if your solution yielded the results you're after, but you never know! Consult a body shop or expert detailer as mentioned above or checked for a used example. Is this it?

Thanks, John. I was concerned with installing a used unit that might be just as brittle as mine, BUT, thinking this through, I may attempt a repair of my piece, and if the results are less than satisfactory, buy the used unit and add some reinforcement prior to installation.

glue it back and vinyl-wrapping over both sides / or the whole thing is another cheap alternative if you want to.

Find one at a pick-and-pull junkyard. Might it be brittle? Sure. But it'll definitely be dramatically cheaper than the new part and it'll look better than any of these alternatives. You could also try eBay, etc.

if you know the part number pop it into AliExpress. Quite amazing what is made. I bought new aircon vents and control panel for a 20 year old toyota.
