Wheel Paint Match / Curb Rash Repair
My daily driver has a set of aftermarket wheels finished in matte gunmetal. As much as my ego denies any fault, I have hit a few curbs over the years. The tires are slightly stretched, so any contact shaves the paint off the lip.
Does anyone have experience with getting custom touch-up paint for wheels? Is this an option at auto body shops? It doesn't have to be perfect, just want to make it less noticeable. Any insight is appreciated! |

just buy some "gun metal" touch up paint pens on amazon, return the ones that aren't a good match. I found a good match for the zcp silver wheels.

Almost all body shops have a scanner that can get close. Once they give you the code you can use paintscratch.com to order some touch-up paint inexpensively. It's not going to be perfect, but it's better than just eyeballing it.
