Motortrend: 2011 BMW 535i vs 2010 MB E350 comparison review
Motortrend has undertaken the battle of titans of the mid-sized german sedan market by pitting the 2011 535i against the 2010 Mercedes E350. If you don't like words much, here are the results and specs compared: 1ST PLACE: BMW 535i A physics-defying technological wonder that no longer flaunts its electronics. 2ND PLACE: MERCEDES-BENZ E350 Feels as strong, solid, and capable as we used to think our banks were. the BMW weighs an extra 100 hp and beats the MB that much in a stright line. Sounds like more than 32hp advantage.
Could BMW be understating the HP of the new n55 engine (like they did with the n54)? |

Could also be related to off the line traction. And chances are it does have a few hp more than 300. What's the chances they got EXACTLY 300?

I liked this review as it is not just focused on performace like so many are. Little boys overly excited about 0-60 and Nurburgring lap times gets quite tiresome.
"Each is so well-tailored to its own target owner groups that neither seems likely to lure away the faithful of the other brand...." Welcome back Mercedes-Benz and BMW. |

This is the one ZF had been working on for some time since Lexus/Toyota came out with their own. And I would think this version is somewhat specific for BMW. |
