Just took mine off yesterday for some minty fresh 19 Avant Gardes...

07 E93 335 CPO, 25K miles. Tires didn't appear to be new when purchased, but still lots of tread.

Two tires have bulges though-and I don't trust 'em. One rim has couple surface scuffs but still look very nice. I've only had the car two months.

Include OEM TPMS. Ready for you to haul away!

The dealership sold you a CPO with two tires with bulges? Does CPO not take into account the wheels?

You should put those rims back on and head over to the dealer to have them replace those tires with the bulges.

Well I didn't inspect for bulges-call me naive. So 4 weeks after I bought it, I came back in for service.

In the follow up phone call they mentioned that two tires have bulges. Odd, because I'm pretty sure I didn't do it during my brief period of ownership. Then again, I can't prove that they came like that.

I only have a 6 mile daily, RT commute. The odds of me bulging two tires is pretty rare in such a short timeframe. Given that we've had our other car, an E90, for 8 months and no bulges in those tires (virtually the same type of driving- wife and I work in the same building), I don't think it happened under my watch.

I can't prove it and of course, a CPO car goes through the most "rigorous" certification process.

Yah, that's why my "new" CPO had:
missing manual
missing key
missing ipod cable
leaky roof
exhaust flapper rattle (like a penny in a can)

Funny how I discovered all this in the first week of ownership. And this thing passed an inspection?

So I got new wheels and my 189s with bulged tires are for sale. OP, drop me a line and come check these out.

Bren,

One of the front I have has some curb rash, 2 other ones have very minor rash, and the last one is mint.
