how quiet is your cabin
Picked up my first BMW last month. Love the car; but have one question. At speeds above 40 mph I can hear road noise (air ect) coming from the where the door meets the body. When driving I hear it behind my head. On a scale of 1(can't hear anthing)-10(window might as well be open) its probably a 2.5. Is this normal? Thanks In advance.

Could be that you have an improper seal in that specific area; try closing the door repeatedly onto a thin strip of paper in several different positions. If you find an area where the paper can be moved - that's the gap.
I have no significant wind noise in mine, but tyre noise can be a bit intrusive. |

The paper test isn't conclusive; I have no ear level specific wind noise in mine and I would find it very annoying. You could have a bad window seal; I'd recommend that you take the car back to the dealer.

I drove at 170km/h(105mph) for a while behind another F10 today, and it was incredibly quiet. Could speak with a normal voice, was like going 90Km/h (55mph) in my E46. Must be a problem with your door .

Mine sometimes is very noisy because of Iron Maiden/Clapton/AC-DC/Hendrix etc. yelling through all of the 16 speakers.
But when I push one button it's very quiet actually. At 60/100/120mph... Cheers Robin |

I experience the same wind noise and I have soft close doors. I am not sure is it normal or not?

Was at the traffic junction next to a truck and I was reaching for the window switches to ensure that they were all closed - so was the sun-roof; but I thought the noise from the truck did permeate into the cabin
Wind noise at 100kmph was negligible though.

Mine is more noisy than I had expected. Road surfaces play a part with the RFTs of course. I've checked the windows several times also and did a leak check around the major gaskets.

I agree with Blackhawk. I had the same opinion of my previous 530. Also noticed excessive noise with a recent 11 528 I had as a loaner. I think it has to do with the design of the exterior mirror(s).
