5 Series mud flaps...

Thinking of specifying BMW mudflaps on the new car but having been disapointed in the past by the ineffectual postage stamp size flaps made by Audi for the A3, I'm just wondering if there any pictures of what the 5's flaps look like fitted? Has anyone seen any pictures please?

Thanks

Hi kev. I don't have any pics of the flaps but I saw them on a F10 two days ago. They looked vey neat but are quite small. What spec are you going for?

Kev,

I just picked up the OEM set for my car but have not installed them since I don't have the car yet.......(one more week!) To me, they look fairly substantial and seem to be a little bigger than the set I have on my 2003 530i. The only picture I know of is in the accessory catalog....and it doesn't really show the flap too well. Although I will probably indeed install these once I get the car, I am going to wait a week or so to see what I think without them. It sounds weird, but when I installed them on my E39, it gave the car a "lowered" look than without them. I'm hoping the new style car will have the same overall result and would definately welcome the added protection these give the body from all the stuff tires kick up.

Just seen the pics in the accessories brochure - Neat and small but they look effective. Might spec them after all....

Nothing too ambitious...more practicality over style...

Sophiosto Grey with black interior.
Ambiente lights
Lumbar support
Folding rear seats
Folding mirrors
USB interface
Heated front seats

I would love the adaptive lights plus xenons but the package is too expensive...

I am waiting for my CA to tell me "come & get it" too (graphite grey, black interior 535xi). At VPC as I type. In NYC I don't see many cars with the mud flaps. I now have a 94 Volvo 850 (I love it) and I have flaps on that. They seem to work well for me & I like them because they help keep that lower portion front & rear of the car clean. I ski & like to take my car not off roading but wherever I want to go......Ya dig. Hope I see someone with them on. It is a thought of mine too!

Got the mud flaps on my car. Couldn't be happier I love my car.

Great to see what they will look like on "my" colour car - Don't worry about your car's individuality being compromised though - My engine will be... ummmm...a bit less powerful and a bit more economical than yours!
