Picked up my sapphire black 550i :D
hey everyone, I am new here but by no means new to BMW. Before I get to the point I just wanted to warn you about my horrible grammar and spelling, partly because I'm not really in NA or the U.K and also because English is my second language.
Anyways I just wanted to share. I got a new 550i in sapphire black and a cinnamon brown interior with the Anthracite Wood Trim. The car is a July built with almost every option available except for: folding rear seats, heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats and finally active front seats (massage seats I guess). I got the car off the lot instead of ordering one I would have loved to order but i am not really a waiting around type of guy and I also change my mind quite easily so I just took the plunge and bought one from our local dealer. I really wanted to get the September updates and the ventilated seats and sort of regretted not waiting. But nonetheless its a fantastic car and I'm still happy with my choice. I also wanted to ask if anyone have any suggestions about possibly changing the exhaust system? I really think the car is too quiet (even the new X5, that i test drove a while back, with the same engine sounds better, louder and meaner I loved that exhaust tone ) Awaiting your suggestions and I will hopefully be posting pictures soon. EDIT: I got some crappy Iphone 4 photos. They will have to do for now. Last edited by Mr 7; 10-20-2010 at 01:26 PM.. |

and that doesn't sound too comforting I was thinking of installing straight pipes but I really don't need the police's extra attention and I would get that if I go with the straight pipes. I really like the sound I heard of my friends X6 5.0 with straight pipes, so I thought I would get a similar exhaust tone on the 550 but after seeing him get pulled over and fined a couple of times I think I'm gonna hold of for a while. Anyways thanks mate. Last edited by Mr 7; 10-21-2010 at 12:45 PM.. |
