I can really take a dislike to some salesmen. Even back in the day before everything was searchable, instant and interwebby I'm sure one or two of us did our homework before wandering into a dealers showroom. And I'm pretty sure the odd salesman came a cropper when it turned out you knew a vehicle spec better than they did. So why do some salesmen still spout utter bullshit now that everything is searchable, instant and interwebby?

The reason for my first paragraph? I popped into Stratstone in Chesterfield to pick up an up to date brochure because my well thumbed original doesn't have the M Sport spec in it. Car porn until February etc etc. And yes, you guessed it. I was told that the M Sport is only made for the UK market so they're quite rare and that's why they haven't got one in the showroom and we like them because we like big wheels 'and stuff'. 'Really?' says I, making a mental note never to anything to do with them.
