Wheel size Question
What do you guys think if I go 245/35/20 front on a 9" rim and 275/35/20 Rear on a 10" rim? I have the tires now just waiting on rims and currently my tires are 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear. My question is about the profile in the rear. Can I do 35 profile all around or should I just leave it as is with 35 in front and 30 rear? I have a 550xi.

I'd stick to 275/30/20 for sure with an xDrive.

I would also recommend going with the 275/30/20 instead of the 275/35/20. Why did you go with the 10" wide rear, a 10.5" width fits fine with a 285/30/20 tire without any rubbing.

You should be fine with that setup. As long as the rolling diameter is within spec. Yeah maybe I should have went 10.5...I just wanted everything to be as smooth as possible and I know in europe the x drive come staggered with 245 fron and 275 rear with a 9" rim in front and 10" rim in back so I just stayed with that set up.

So does that mean if you go with 10" wheels in the rear, you should stick to 275's but if you move up to 10.5", you should go with 285's? What would the advantage of 10.5 be over the 10's?

yeah a 10.5 width wheel would need a wider tire.. I mean you can prob do a 275 but the rubber will be stretched so a 285 would be better.
