2013 5 Series Wish List
As I sit here and repeatedly hit refresh on all the BMW websites I follow, hoping to get word on the specs for the 2013 5 Series, I'm thinking of what I would like to see. Here they are.
1. M Sport Package mirror that of the X6 50i: 440 hp and 480 ft lbs of torque 2. 20 inch wheels on the M Sport 3. Continuation of Carbon Black, and bring back the original Sophisto Gray 4. Matt wood interior trim like offered on the X6 (Dark Bamboo please) 5. Dual clutch tranny on the M Sport 6. And of course, a F11 Touring 550i M sport, but I know that is just a dream. What would you wish for? |

Xirallic manufacturing capability was only restored at teh end of 2011 following the earthquake in Japan.
With no 2nd supply line up yet manufacturers are reluctant to re-introduce high Xirallic content paints, especially when the substitutes have sold basically as well as the high cost originals.

Hoping for a horsepower bump for the N55. Audi's sc'ed power plant has taken the lead where BMWs N54 use to dominate. Time to take that back BMW.
Squared angel eyes just like then lci X6 and new F30. (wishful thinking on this one) Alan

Hmmm... personally, I would wish:
- no RFT tires - mechanical "sport" suspension - weight decrease - no "auto engine start/stop" for 528i/535i - get rid of TeleAtlas and switch to Navteq as the navigation system map database provider ...but, considering that BMW always thinks they "know what the customers want better than the customers themselves", I bet none of those will happen... |
