M5 body kit or M-Sport
I'm still debating if I should get the M-sport or m5 bumper on my 550i. To all the trolls, I'm not trying to be a fake M5. I just like the way it looks and everyone has the M-sport here in Brooklyn. I'm planning to get it with the fog lights. What do you guys think? I found an image of one here.

If you go OEM, you'd need new fenders in addition to making some minor modifications under the hood. The factory M5 bumper grille inserts aren't available with fog lights, so you'd need to go aftermarket and I don't think anybody has made ones yet that are 100% fit.
If you go aftermarket, you run the risk of bad fitment of the sensors, tow hook and washer covers like in the picture you posted. The paint match is also pretty bad. The M Sport bumper is a simple bolt on with some minor part changes, and a complete retrofit kit is available from getbmwparts.com. They can even paint it. I try to be helpful around here but I really don't appreciate being referred to as a troll for having an opinion.

If it weren't M5 specific I don't think it would be as big of a deal. Even BMW kept the M Sport bumper on the M550dx, even though it's a factory M-badged car.

Lots of Msport 5's in Brooklyn but none of them are modded. I've seen only one other 5 series besides mine that had wheels done but thats about it.
I would only go M5 bumper if you are planning on getting some aggressive wheels to match with it. Just doing the front bumper will throw the balance off. Alan

I would go for the M Sport Package Then stick M Performance parts on it. Trust me it looks so aggresive and you will have something a little different |

Personally I think the M5 kit looks better; however, if you decide to go with additional body parts including lip/splitters and diffusers, choices are rather limited (as of now) so I think it depends on what you plan on doing in the long run. By the way, are you going OE or aftermarket? Might need to do a lot more work to go the M5 route if you decide to go OE
