Anything over 2 hours their ripping you off, anything under 2 hours and your getting a deal. It can be done in less than 1 hour, but most shops go by the recommended labor hours.

Just got my spark plugs changed. Check engine light is still on and car still jerks under hard acceleration. Could it be the ignition coils ?
Still haven't taken my chip off either.. Doing that tonight.. Hopefully it goes away. |

Sucks you don't have a way to check codes. If you did have a misfire from a certain back you could swap the coil to another bank to see if the misfire follows.

The car is running smooth again after I took the chip out, feels faster than before I put the chip in. I guess that's because new plugs. But the check engine light is still on.. I'm gona drive it around for a while and see if it goes away |

I think they can come out to your car and check the code on the spot at autozone , right ?

In my area they don't do it anymore. I'm almost certain one or more of your coil packs are gone. Try unplugging the battery for 10 min and see if it clears the codes... add for the coil packs... rockauto is your friend...
Go on ebay and buy an autel AL319.. it's 40 bucks and they are also sold on Dinan's site for 70 bucks... will read and clear codes... |

And on rock autos site there is the Bosch ignition coils ($28 a piece) and SPM ignition coils ($42 a piece). Which is OEM ? And which would you recommend ? Price is not a concern , looking for the better quality one. Thanks again ! |

I've used rockauto coils on my n54... no issues when I had misfires. Rockauto is legit. Definitely order from them. Good luck dude. Your coils were probably on the way out and the stage 1 pushed them over the edge....

Which coils would you recommend , the Bosch or SMP ? Took chip out, car idles a little rough, but check engine light is gone and power delivery is smooth again |

Bro, get this setup and you can see your sensors, get codes and clear them. I can check O2 sensors, fuel pressure and other things like boost, engine temp, air intake temp. It's only 16 bucks plus $5 dollars for the torque app. It's the cheapest way get data but, it only runs on android so I went and bought a galaxy tablet just for the myobd2. Without something like this your in the dark.

Not the "MYOBD2 and TORQUE APP" you can't. There are other apps that will work with iPhone but not this combo.^^^^

So I got my ignition coils , spark plugs changed. Put the bms stage 1 back in and check engine light came on again. Car still jerks hard when I get on the gas..
Could it be running aggressive settings? I bought the bms used from Igor and he said he set it to default but I will have to take off the stage 1 and check it for myself. |
