BMW Ultimate Service question.
I am wondering, during this 4 yr / 50k miles period has anyone needed service on their car that wasn't covered by the service plan or warranty? Every time you bring your car in during this period is it truly no out of pocket? And are there minor things they hit you with, like disposal fees and such?
Basically has anyone had any bad experiences with it? Here is a list of what BMW says is covered if you didn't know. Engine Oil Services: $0 Inspection Services: $0 Wiper Blade Inserts: $0 Brake Pads: $0 Brake Discs: $0 Engine Drive Belts: $0 Brake Fluid Service: $0 Last edited by Demxsr; 07-05-2015 at 12:35 PM.. |

It's 50k miles, not 100k miles. The only thing I've had to pay for are tires and alignments.

Im pretty sure its 4yrs/50,000 not 100,000 miles. Which ever comes first. But to answer your question. I havent had any problems what so ever. There are never any special fees that they tack on. Ive had a couple oxygen sensors fail and a problem with the fan, always covered under warranty without hassle. I have never paid for a thing.
So far my experience with the dealers have been so good, it has been a major factor when i cross shop for other cars. Looking at the price of an M3 vs C63. BMW's maintenance plan is worth a couple thousand dollars in consideration. With other makes it has sometimes been a hassle to get things covered under warranty but with bmw never an issue. I never have to worry about extra costs besides for tires during the 4years which is huge for me. |

Be prepared to have to pay for oil, though doubt the f8x series will be as big of oil hogs as the e9x Ms, but out in California oil changes were covered under maintainence but topping off the oil was not covered and at $15 a quart it was a small nuisance

The only thing I have ever paid for is replacement tires and associated labor. I haven't even paid for alignments so far.
State inspection isn't covered either of course, but my dealer is almost always running specials on those. |

May depend on the dealer but this seems like something that should fall under regular maintenance. I would stop in multiple times a year for a quart of oil at no charge. Sometimes even giving me a quart to take home in case I need it at a later time.

Trust me...it became a battle with my dealership...then I went to 3 other local dealerships and had the same issues there, no tops offs of oil for my e90M, but they were more than happy to add a quart for me just as soon as I purchased it from Parts Dept.
This went on for all 4 years of my covered maintainence. |

Not true. I've been getting oil top offs once a month for the last 4 years on my E93. The dealer will gladly top you off with a quart of oil, no charge.

That may be the case in FL...but not in SoCal. I've been to several dealerships (including where I purchased my e90m from) and always the same issue. I've spoken to the GSM's about it even and once went soo far as to talk to BMWNA who basically said its up to dealership policys, not Corp.
